Outstanding Young Alumni Award

Want to honor an outstanding young alum?

The Purdue Alumni Association Board of Directors presents this award to an alumnus who has fewer than 10 years of cumulative service to Purdue and has demonstrated leadership, hard work, and commitment, positively impacting the university.

Nominations

Nominations will be accepted August 1 through September 1. Nominations will not be considered unless accompanied by a one-page description of the nominee’s accomplishments.

Selection Criteria

Consideration will be given to nominees who have given outstanding service to:
  • Purdue University
  • Purdue Alumni Association
  • Purdue for Life Foundation Engagement Programs

    • Alumni Clubs and Student Engagement
    • Volunteerism and College Engagement
    • Alumni Travel and International Alumni Networks
    • Affinity Networks
    • Lifelong Learning
The selection committee will choose two winners—one from Indiana and one outside of Indiana—who are 32 or younger at the time of nomination.

Selection Process

Nominations may be made by any person or group affiliated with Purdue University—students, faculty, staff, or alumni. The award will be chosen by the Outstanding Young Alumni Award selection committee.

Presentation of Award

Recipients are honored during an award presentation, and nameplates are added to a plaque in the Dick and Sandy Dauch Alumni Center as well as the awards obelisk on the Purdue Mall.
